I hope you are all having a great week!  I am very happy to announce that Cuptastic! will be joining us at Cupcake Camp Dallas. Sisters Kamili and Shwari have dreamed of starting Cuptastic! from a very young age when they baked with their great grandmother’s kitchen.  I look forward to tasting the family secrets soon!

Are you a pro or amateur baker? We are new Pro Bakers!  My sister Shwari and I just got started about 8 months ago, but we have been baking for years.  We practically grew up in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother who also owned a business baking and selling sweet treats.

What type of cupcake will you be bringing to Cupcake Camp Dallas? We have decided to bring two of our personal favorites – chocolate heath bar and coconut.  Since we are always dreaming up new ideas, we might just have a surprise as well.

Why do you want to be part of Cupcake Camp Dallas? I have been interested in Cupcake Camp since reading about it in other cities like LA and DC. We also come from a long legacy of community service, and are committed to continuing that legacy through Cuptastic!

What makes a great cupcake? In order to have a great cupcake you must have cake that is as tasty without the frosting as it is with the frosting, and the frosting must not be too sweet.

What’s your favorite cupcake flavor? Kamili’s absolute favorite is red velvet. Shwari’s is heath bar.

Do you have a favorite cupcake memory? We have many great memories, but the best would have to be our time spent with the girls from our church mentoring program preparing for an event we called “Cupcakes for the Cure”.  It was a great time of fellowship and we raised money for a great cause.  We even made special flavors for the event.

Got a good cupcake tip? Have fun and don’t be afraid to make a mistake.  You never know what masterpiece is lurking around the corner.
